Job summary

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in the United States is seeking a Litigation Docket Clerk to support its expansive litigation practice across multiple jurisdictions. The role offers a hybrid in-office/remote schedule and may reside in several offices including Boston, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, or Washington, D.C.

You will maintain the firm’s docket system, obtain filing information, identify deadlines, and prepare master calendars for lawyers and staff.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least one year of litigation calendaring/docketing experience.
  • Understanding of court docketing procedures and familiarity with court filings.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player with the ability to prioritize deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software; CompuLaw a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the firm’s docket system for litigation across multiple courts and jurisdictions.
  • Obtain filing information from court clerks and online dockets.
  • Identify deadlines and prepare master calendars for distribution to lawyers and staff.
  • Research deadlines, local rules, and procedures as requested by attorneys and staff.
  • Respond to requests regarding calendared events and modifications to the docket.
  • Assist with ad hoc duties as assigned.

The foregoing salary range applies only to the specific available position advertised herein. The total compensation package for this position will also include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans and policies then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in: a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, life, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, business travel accident insurance plans, and health savings and flexible spending accounts for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents.
