Talis Group is recruiting for a position with a multi-state law firm serving Kentucky and Indiana. The role supports injury defense litigation in a fast-paced, mostly remote environment designed to empower the team.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of injury litigation, a KY license (IN helpful), strong writing and verbal communication, and experience with discovery, depositions, pleadings, research, investigations, and mediation.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of injury litigation experience.
• KY license; IN would be helpful.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced but team oriented environment.
• Experience with discovery, depositions, pleadings, research, investigations and mediation.
• Must be able to communicate often to clients and other providers.

Responsibilities

• Handle caseload from inception to completion.
• Advise clients concerning their claims or defense of claims, legal rights and obligations.
• Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for clients.
• Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
• Investigate, interview and gather evidence to formulate defense.
• Prepare and draft legal documents including briefs and opinions.
• Negotiate settlements and mediations.
• Regularly handle court appearances and depositions.
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports.
