Shelter Insurance Companies is seeking a Litigation Counsel to lead and direct claims litigation activities and case strategy across designated Shelter states. The role involves coordinating with managers and outside attorneys on complex, high-exposure claims and ensuring adherence to state law in all claims-handling protocols.

The position requires a law degree with knowledge of insurance law and policy terms, plus 1–3 years of trial or claims experience and 6–12 months of related on-the-job

• Law degree and mastery of litigation, insurance law, and policy terms.
• 1–3 years trial or legal claims experience; 6–12 months on-the-job training for insurance contracts and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Direct and manage claims litigation activities and case strategy for designated Shelter states.
• Supervise and coordinate outside attorneys for complex, high-exposure claims.
• Train and direct claims-handling protocols in accordance with state law.
• Research and explain legal impact on claims handling, procedures, and policy changes.
