Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Counsel with substantial litigation experience to handle a caseload of low to moderate complexity and deliver optimal results for Travelers’ insured customers. The role emphasizes high-quality legal work, collaboration, and effective client service.

You will develop trial skills, conduct research, draft documents, and advise on file-handling strategies while working within a national legal organization with local focus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of prior litigation practice or prior legal experience.
• Insurance litigation work exposure desirable.
• Developing a track record of trial skills and techniques.
• Ability to clearly and succinctly articulate position.
• Ability to analyze legal issues with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to high-quality legal work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply trial skills to litigate cases to verdict.
• Conduct legal research and strong legal writing and presentation.
• Supervise research projects and paralegals.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and discovery documents; attend court events.
• Provide case analysis and recommendations to Claim and insured clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
