Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Counsel to manage a predominantly low to moderate complexity caseload with a national scope. You will leverage litigation skills, legal research, and persuasive writing to deliver optimal results for Travelers’ insureds.

You will collaborate with Claims and clients, supervise junior staff, and travel as business needs dictate. A JD and active license are required, with a hybrid work model in select locations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation practice or prior legal experience.
• Active license to practice law in the required state(s).
• Commitment to high-quality legal work and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply trial skills to litigate cases to verdict.
• Conduct legal research and persuasive writing and presentation.
• Supervise associates and paralegals on research tasks.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and discovery documents; attend court events.
• Provide case analysis and recommendations to claims and insured clients.
• Build strong client and partner relationships; adhere to office protocols.
• Utilize case management systems and technology effectively.
• Travel as required and perform other duties as assigned.
