Auto Club Enterprises seeks a Litigation Counsel to represent the Auto Club in employment litigation and advise HR and business units on employment-law matters.

Responsibilities include defending lawsuits/arbitrations as lead attorney or with outside counsel, shaping litigation strategy, and guiding case assessments while partnering with various departments. Hybrid schedule with in-office and remote work is offered.

Qualifications

• Lead trial or arbitration experience.
• Experience defending against employment claims ( wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage/hour, retaliation).
• Provide strategic legal advice to HR and management.

Litigation Counsel Employment The chosen candidate will represent the Auto Club and related entities in employment litigation and provide employment-related legal advice to Human Resources and other business units.

Responsibilities include: Defending employment lawsuits and arbitrations as the lead trial attorney or partnering with outside counsel as necessary. Developing litigation strategy and managing individual employment cases. Analyzing legal demands and lawsuit pleadings to create early case assessments. Providing legal counsel, advice, review and direction to various departments and members of management on all levels. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Lead trial or arbitration experience and significant experience handling all phases of employment litigation. Experience defending against employment claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, alleged wage and hour violations, unfair competition, failure to accommodate, failure to engage in the interactive process, and retaliation in court and arbitration. Experience providing legal advice to Human Resources and responding to agency charges. Excellent academic credentials and top law firm and/or in-house experience are required. Candidate must be a member of the California State Bar. Candidate should reside in Orange County, California or be willing to relocate. Relocation reimbursement is available. Hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office 2 days remote is offered. #LI-LG1
