Job summary

Fox Rothschild LLP in Seattle seeks a Counsel with eight to twelve years of commercial litigation experience to join the Litigation Department. The ideal candidate will handle insurance bad faith and coverage litigation, work independently in a fast-paced environment, and provide practical, business-friendly advice to clients.

Qualified candidates must have a JD and be licensed to practice in Washington; Oregon license is a plus. Salary ranges and related terms are described below.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required and licensed to practice in Washington.
• Washington license required; Oregon license a plus.
• Eight to twelve years of commercial litigation experience preferred.
• Experience in insurance bad faith and coverage litigation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduce cases from inception to resolution with minimal oversight.
• Provide practical, business-friendly litigation advice to clients.
• Lead and manage depositions, motions, and trial strategy.

Fox Rothschild has an opening in the Seattle office for a Counsel in the Litigation Department with eight to twelve years of commercial litigation experience. Experience with insurance bad faith and coverage litigation and complex commercial litigation is preferred. An ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and give practical, business-friendly advice is required.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice in the state of Washington, license to practice in the state of Oregon a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.
• Ability to independently run a case from start to finish with no oversight.
• Extensive deposition, oral argument, and trial experience preferred.
• Extensive 1st chair experience as a hands on leader of cases and work, rather than delegating, preferred.
• Federal and state court experience preferred.
• Experience in either a large law firm or boutique law firm preferred.
• The salary range for this position applies to Washington. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $235,000 - $250,000.
