Frederick Fox LLC in Pennsylvania is seeking a Claims Attorney to join an established excess & surplus lines carrier's claims team. The role blends litigation skills with coverage analysis, handling about 120 files on a solo caseload with 20-30% in litigation.

You will evaluate coverage, liability, and damages across commercial auto and other commercial lines, review records, negotiate settlements, and supervise outside counsel while maintaining reserves and diaries.

Formación

• JD and active membership in good standing of at least one state bar.
• 1+ years of litigation experience including depositions, written discovery, arbitration/mediation.
• Strong legal research, writing and negotiation skills.
• P&C or E&S exposure is a plus; a P&C adjuster license is required within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Work as a property & casualty adjuster and litigation manager on your own caseload (about 120 files, 20-30% in litigation).
• Analyze coverage, liability and damages across commercial auto (30-40%) and other commercial lines.
• Review police, medical and investigative records, and value the claims.
• Negotiate settlements, and recommend next steps when a case won't settle.
• Retain and manage outside counsel and experts, and oversee litigated files.
• Set reserves and keep claim diaries accurate.
