  • Conduct regular, structured matter reviews with responsible attorneys and case teams, including weekly check-ins as appropriate, to confirm matter status, upcoming milestones, pending work, responsible team members and next steps
  • Prepare and maintain matter-specific action plans, status reports, task lists, litigation trackers and other practical tools that provide a current and reliable view of active matters
  • Anticipate upcoming needs and proactively communicate timing considerations to case teams to support timely preparation for hearings, filings, discovery deadlines, expert deadlines, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, trials and other significant events
  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts, workflow bottlenecks, missed deadlines or gaps in case management before they affect a client matter

  • Work in tandem with the Firm’s Docketing department to track court deadlines, hearing dates, discovery deadlines, briefing schedules, trial dates, expert deadlines, filing requirements and other matter-specific commitments
  • Review pleadings, notices, court orders, correspondence and other case materials to identify critical dates and required action items
  • Generate and distribute deadline reports, status updates and action-item summaries to attorneys, case teams and practice group leadership
  • Identify and promptly elevate overdue assignments, unresolved and/or unassigned action items, conflicting deadlines, calendaring discrepancies and other material issues
  • Coordinate and oversee delegation of assignments among attorneys, paralegals, legal secretaries and other Firm resources based on urgency, complexity, capacity and role appropriateness
  • Clarify assignment scope, responsible person, due date, dependencies and expected deliverables to promote accountability and efficient completion of work
  • Maintain visibility into delegated work and confirm completion of critical assignments, filings, service requirements and other deliverables
  • Facilitate recurring matter-status meetings and circulate concise action-item summaries identifying ownership and target completion dates
  • Monitor key case developments and proactively communicate changes affecting schedules, deadlines, staffing or resources
  • Help ensure continuity of operations during employee absences, leave periods and staffing transitions
  • Partner with practice leadership and Legal Support Services to identify recurring workload, coverage or process issues and recommend practical solutions
  • Participate in practice group, case team and Firm administrative meetings as needed
