Job summary

Elevate LLC, a next-generation professional services platform, seeks an experienced Litigation and Business Valuation Manager/Director in Clark, NJ to lead engagements involving business valuation, economic damages, and litigation support.

You will work with attorneys, business owners, and expert witnesses, guide valuation methodologies, review financial statements, manage engagements, and mentor junior staff while helping grow Elevate's forensic and valuation practice.

Qualifications

• Must hold a professional credential (JD, CPA, ABV, CFF, ASA, or CVA).
• 7+ years of experience in business valuation, forensic accounting, or litigation support at a public accounting or valuation advisory firm.
• Strong technical writing with ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Manage business valuation engagements for litigation, shareholder disputes, divorce, gift/estate tax, buy-sell agreements, and M&A transactions.
• Lead economic damages calculations including lost profits, wages, and business interruption claims.
• Prepare and review valuation reports in accordance with USPAP and AICPA SSVS; support expert testimony.
• Support litigation engagements through discovery analysis, deposition and trial prep, and expert witness testimony support.
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients to translate financial analysis into clear, defensible conclusions.

A partner firm of Elevate located in Clark, New Jersey is seeking an experienced Litigation and Business Valuation Manager/Director to lead engagements involving business valuation, economic damages, and litigation support. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to work directly with attorneys, business owners, and expert witnesses on complex, high-visibility matters, while helping build out the firm’s forensic and valuation practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage business valuation engagements for purposes including litigation, shareholder disputes, divorce, gift/estate tax, buy-sell agreements, and M&A transactions.
• Lead economic damages calculations, including lost profits, lost wages, and business interruption claims.
• Prepare and review valuation reports in accordance with professional standards (USPAP, AICPA SSVS).
• Support litigation engagements through discovery analysis, deposition and trial preparation, and expert witness testimony support.
• Collaborate directly with attorneys and clients to translate complex financial analysis into clear, defensible conclusions.
• Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and industry data to develop valuation assumptions and methodologies.
• Manage engagement economics, including budgeting, staffing, and timely delivery of work product.
• Mentor and develop junior staff on valuation methodology, technical writing, and client communication.
• Support business development through proposal writing, client relationship management, and identifying cross-service opportunities.
• Collaborate with Elevate’s leadership team and shared services to leverage technology, innovation, and best practices across the platform.

Qualifications

• JD, CPA, ABV, CFF, ASA, or CVA credential strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in business valuation, forensic accounting, or litigation support at a public accounting or valuation advisory firm.
• Demonstrated experience preparing valuation reports and supporting expert testimony in litigation matters.
• Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly.
• Experience with valuation methodologies (income, market, and asset approaches) across a range of industries.
• Strong client relationship skills.
