gpac seeks a litigation attorney in Sugar Land, TX with 2–5 years of experience to join a busy department of 12 attorneys and 7 support staff.

The position is in-office, with occasional conferences and county day trips. You will represent appraisal districts and related entities, manage a heavy docket, negotiate settlements, and uphold strict deadlines while maintaining strong client relations.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of litigation experience.
• Willing to learn and take on new areas.
• Able to manage deadlines and communicate effectively.
• Experience with docket management and court filings.

Responsibilities

• Handle hearings and motions, including potential in-person court appearances.
• Manage a heavy docket and coordinate deadlines in a busy department.
• Represent appraisal districts, appraisal review boards, and related entities.
• Possibly negotiate settlements and maintain client relations.
• In-office role with occasional conferences and off-site meetings as needed.
