Job description

Marinosci Law Group, P.C., a national law firm specializing in all areas of default law, is seeking an experienced Creditor’s Rights / Foreclosure Attorney to work out of the firm's Warwick, Rhode Island office.

Functions and Duties:
  1. Represent creditors, banks, and mortgage servicers in all stages of the foreclosure process, including contested cases.
  2. Manage and maintain foreclosure files in accordance with industry compliance requirements.
  3. Review and execute legal documents and pleadings, including motions, notices, and affidavits.
  4. Review and compile documents required for the foreclosure process.
  5. Research statutes, case law, and regulatory requirements.
  6. Conduct legal research and legal writing.
  7. Handle a varied caseload of contested foreclosure issues.
  8. Prepare and argue Motions for Summary Judgment.
  9. Manage a volume of contested foreclosure cases.
  10. Represent creditors in contested eviction cases.
  11. Attend hearings, mediations, trials, settlement conferences, and other appearances as necessary.
  12. Review case information in the firm’s case management system, client systems, and investor systems to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  13. Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally via client platforms, phone, and email.
  14. Utilize the firm’s case management system and reporting tools to meet all deadlines.
  15. Maintain focus on compliance and investor timeline expectations by prioritizing and working efficiently on a high volume of files.
  16. Possess excellent communication, organizational, proofreading, spelling, and grammar skills.
Experience and Education:
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in foreclosure/litigation.
  • Experience with pre-foreclosure and post-foreclosure matters is required.
  • Experience with landlord and tenant evictions is preferred.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar is required; federal and bankruptcy district admissions are a plus.
  • Admission to practice in Rhode Island, Connecticut, and/or New Hampshire is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in electronic case management systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.
  • Experience with client systems like BKFS, Tempo, and Vendorscape is preferred.
