Job summary

Ansbacher Law is seeking an associate Litigation Attorney to join our Community Association practice team in Jacksonville, Florida. You will represent condominium and homeowners’ associations in a variety of civil litigation matters across the state, with opportunities to develop litigation skills and take meaningful responsibility.

The ideal candidate is motivated to grow in litigation while working closely with clients and experienced attorneys.

Qualifications

• Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• At least 2 years’ civil litigation experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Represent condominium and homeowners’ associations in civil litigation matters.
• Manage litigation matters from pre-suit investigation through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare written legal analysis.
• Handle depositions, mediations, hearings, and other court proceedings.
• Develop case strategies in collaboration with partners and clients.
• Communicate with clients regarding case status, strategy, risks, and resolutions.
• Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements.

Ansbacher Law is seeking an associate Litigation Attorney to join our Community Association practice team representing condominium and homeowners’ associations in a fast-paced and well-established real estate firm. This position would represent our association clients throughout Florida from our office in Jacksonville, Florida. This position will focus on representing condominium and homeowners’ associations in a variety of civil litigation matters.

The ideal candidate is a motivated attorney who is interested in developing or expanding their litigation experience while working directly with clients and learning from experienced, board-certified attorneys. Our associates receive meaningful responsibility, significant client contact, and opportunities to develop their litigation skills through hands-on experience.

• Handle and assist with depositions, mediations, hearings, and other court proceedings.
• Develop case strategies in collaboration with partners and clients.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case status, strategy, risks, and potential resolutions.
• Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements.
• Assist with enforcement litigation involving association governing documents.
• Represent association clients in disputes involving owners, contractors, vendors, and other parties.
• Maintain organized case files, deadlines, and litigation calendars.
• Attend Board meetings, hearings, mediations, depositions, and other proceedings, as required.

Qualifications

• Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• At least 2 years’ civil litigation experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to independently manage deadlines and multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to attend Board meetings, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings throughout Northeast Florida and, as needed, elsewhere in Florida.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in community association, real estate, construction, or related litigation is a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with Chapters 718 and 720, Florida Statutes, is preferred but not required.
