Kennedy & Associates, P.C. Chicago is a boutique, AV-rated defense tort litigation firm with offices in Nashville and Chicago seeking an attorney with at least 1 year of experience and an interest in developing business.

You will manage a diverse case load across Transportation, Construction, Premises, Employer, and Product Liability, with day-to-day responsibility and mentoring. We promote a casual, professional environment with WFH flexibility.

Qualifications

• Qualified, self-starter candidates who enjoy working independently with at least 1+ yr experience and an interest in business development.

Responsibilities

• Pleadings and motion practice including dispositive, substantive motions.
• Responding to and propounding discovery and requests to admit.
• Taking and defending witness depositions under FRCP rules.
• Work with liability, medical and damages experts and coordinate with clients.
• Court appearances and case management from intake to resolution.
• Jury trials, arbitrations, mediations, and regular client communication.

You will have day to day, independent responsibility developing a game plan on each of your cases to efficiently move our clients' matters to resolution and executing that plan with supervision and mentoring. You will manage all aspects of your cases:

• Pleadings
• Motion practice including dispositive, substantive motions
• Responding to and propounding discovery and requests to admit
• Taking and defending (f)(1)(2) and (3) witness depositions
• Work with retained liability, medical and damages experts
• Court appearances
• Case analysis and evaluation
• Jury trials, mandatory arbitrations, mediations and binding arbitrations
• Regular, frequent communication with our clients

Our case load in state and federal court and all over Illinois is a wide variety of:

• Transportation Litigation
• Construction Litigation
• Premises Liability
• Employer Liability
• Product Liability
