The Reality of This Role

Silverman Law Office has a noted civil litigation division. We fight. We take on complex, contested matters on behalf of real people and businesses in Montana.

You will carry a demanding caseload. You will be expected to collect 1,400 billable hours annually, which means the total hours you invest in this work will be considerably higher. There will be stretches: trial prep, discovery deadlines, appellate briefing - when this job will consume your evenings, your weekends, and some portion of your peace of mind.

That is the nature of advocacy and litigation.

• Has at least 5 years of litigation experience and a Montana State Bar license
• Has a documented history of favorable judicial rulings and trial outcomes (wins)
• Brings a strong fundamental knowledge of the rules of civil procedure and the rules of evidence
• Demonstrates the confidence that comes from experience, preparation and command of the law and the facts
• Communicates clearly in writing, on their feet in court, and in difficult conversations with clients who don’t want to hear hard truths
• Can delegate with intention, lead client consultations with confidence, and engage productively in the kind of honest internal conflict that sharpens strategy
• Understands that their work affects real people and carries that responsibility seriously
