Silverman Law Office, PLLC in Montana seeks an experienced litigator to manage a demanding civil docket, including trial prep, discovery, and appellate work. You will translate complex facts into strategic arguments, negotiate effectively, and advocate for clients who depend on you.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of litigation experience, Montana Bar licensure, and a demonstrated history of favorable outcomes.
Litigation is hard. Not the "hours are long" kind of hard that any job brochure will tell you. The kind of hard that wakes you up at 2 a.m. because a client’s business, their financial survival or home depends on the argument you make in six hours. If that sentence made you lean in rather than lean back, read on.
Silverman Law Office has a noted civil litigation division. We fight. We take on complex, contested matters on behalf of real people and businesses in Montana.
You will carry a demanding caseload. You will be expected to collect 1,400 billable hours annually, which means the total hours you invest in this work will be considerably higher. There will be stretches: trial prep, discovery deadlines, appellate briefing - when this job will consume your evenings, your weekends, and some portion of your peace of mind.
That is the nature of advocacy and litigation.
The people who hire us come to us at the worst moments of their professional or personal lives. They are scared, sometimes angry, often confused about the process. You will be the person who translates chaos into strategy and fear into forward motion. That is a privilege and it is a weight.
No litigator wins every case. The attorneys who last in litigation develop the ability to absorb a bad ruling, a difficult verdict, or a negotiation that didn’t close and to get back to work the next morning without losing their confidence or their compassion. We celebrate both success and failure here. We mean that. But we do not pretend that losing is easy.
Deadlines in litigation are not soft. Courts do not extend them because you are overloaded. Opposing counsel will probe every weakness. The pressure to perform, to research thoroughly, to write clearly, to argue persuasively on your feet is unrelenting. You will need to manage that pressure without letting it manage you.
This is a firm where skilled people are supported, compensated well, and surrounded by colleagues who share their commitment to client centered results. The work is challenging by design because that is the only environment where growth happens.
We pay at the top of the Montana market and for the right performer, the bonus structure makes that just the starting point.
The work is meaningful. The team is excellent. Silverman Law Office, PLLC is the kind of place where a litigator can build a practice they are genuinely proud of.
Silverman Law Office, PLLC is committed to our clients, our team, and the communities we serve across Montana.
