Job Summary:

Will assist by helping serve the firm's diverse client base in a wide variety of matters (e.g., complex business and real estate disputes, creditor's rights litigation, employment and partnership matters, construction).

Experience:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures related to litigation.
• Proficiency in conducting legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw databases.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice to clients.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.

Required Skills/Abilities 10 years' experience:

• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in all aspects of litigation including discovery, depositions, motion practice and trial.
• Experience investigating claims, preparing and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, interacting with expert witnesses, and all aspects of motion practice.
• Able to prepare for, take, and defend depositions, and have prior experience in drafting dispositive, expert, and/or discovery motions.
• A desire to maintain and develop long-term client relationships.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
