Qualifications

• 4-7 years of litigation experience required.
• Must be licensed and in good standing with the Missouri Bar.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and client communication abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently while collaborating effectively with legal teams.

Responsibilities

• Study constitutions, statutes, regulations, ordinances, and judicial decisions to assess their impact on legal matters.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, and before government agencies.
• Analyze case merits and potential outcomes using legal research and precedent.
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and business clients.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to develop legal strategies and support case preparation.
• Evaluate findings and formulate persuasive arguments for litigation and dispute resolution matters.
• Counsel clients regarding business transactions, liability issues, litigation risks, and legal rights and obligations.
• Review legal data and evidence to determine the advisability of pursuing or defending claims.
• Supervise and mentor legal assistants and support staff as appropriate.
• Gather and assess evidence through witness and client interviews, document review, and factual investigations.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, legal briefs, opinions, and appellate filings in state and federal courts.
• Participate in all phases of litigation, including jury selection, motion practice, witness examinations, and trial proceedings.
• Negotiate settlements and resolve civil disputes.
• Present cases, evidence, and legal arguments before judges, juries, arbitrators, and opposing counsel.
• Draft, review, and manage legal documents and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and examine public records to support client matters and legal opinions.
• Perform administrative and practice management responsibilities as needed.
