Job summary

Hawkins Parnell & Young, LLP in Los Angeles seeks a 2-4 year associate to join its national litigation team. You will work on varied and complex defense litigation, from pre-suit investigation to trial and appeal, alongside top litigators.

Qualifications

• Active Bar license and in good standing with a state bar.
• Excellent writing, analytical and communications skills.
• 2-4 years’ experience in defense litigation; product liability or toxic tort a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment with strong deadlines.
• Self-starter able to manage multiple projects within a team.

Responsibilities

• Trial preparation including strategy discussions, discovery, records review, client interviews and witness preparation.
• Legal and people research.
• Drafting of briefs, memos, and client updates.
• Attendance at depositions, hearings, and/or mediations.
