Job summary

Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP seeks an associate with 2-3 years of experience to join its Litigation team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent writing, research and analytical skills and will support partners in all phases of civil litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.

The anticipated base salary range for this full-time role is $150,000 – $170,000 plus annual performance-based bonuses.

We are seeking an associate with 2-3 years of experience to join the expanding Litigation team. The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent writing, research and analytical skills
• Support partners and senior attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on substantive legal issues
• Manage case deadlines and ensure timely filings and compliance with procedural rules
• Participate in client interviews, witness preparation, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.

The anticipated base salary range for this full-time role is $150,000 – $170,000 plus annual performance-based bonuses. The actual salary within that range will depend on the selected candidate’s years of practice and experience. The firm offers a hybrid work arrangement option, reasonable billable hours requirement, annual discretionary and billable hours bonuses, competitive health insurance benefits, and 401(k) with a partial match.
