Job summary

Jobot seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join a downtown Ventura team of long-tenured professionals. The role offers a salary range of $130,000 to $175,000 per year, with mentorship, strong culture, and hybrid scheduling options, ideally in-office when possible.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience and the ability to jump right in, contributing to case strategy, drafting pleadings, taking depositions, and representing clients in court and negotiations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in litigation.
• Experience handling complex cases and defending in court.

Responsibilities

• Assist in case evaluation and pre-litigation strategy for various cases
• Draft pleadings and motions, and propound and respond to discovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Conduct research and provide analysis regarding substantive and procedural law
• Appear in court, arbitration, and mediation
• Advise on transactional matters and prepare related documents
• Perform other associate tasks as assigned by leadership, and uphold the firm’s ethics and values.
