Job summary

Orionplacement in Los Angeles is seeking a new attorney to join our established litigation practice. This hybrid role offers hands-on experience in civil litigation and insurance defense, with mentorship from seasoned attorneys.

You will draft pleadings and motions, manage discovery, coordinate with clients and carriers, and help shape trial strategy while developing courtroom skills. Four in-office days per week and one remote day weekly provide flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar admission in good standing.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Interest in litigation and developing courtroom skills.
• Professional communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments.
• Ability to work in the Los Angeles office four days per week.
• Insurance defense or civil litigation experience is preferred but not required.
• Newly admitted attorneys are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and manage civil litigation and insurance defense matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written analysis
• Assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings
• Review case files, records, discovery, and evidence
• Communicate with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and other parties
• Help develop litigation strategy and evaluate case issues
• Manage deadlines and maintain organized case files
• Work closely with experienced attorneys while taking on increasing responsibility
• Build practical litigation and Law and Motion skills
