Job summary

Scion Legal Staffing seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney for an established regional law firm’s Shreveport office. This role blends labor and employment, construction, and commercial litigation with meaningful client responsibility and the resources of a firm with over 240 attorneys across Louisiana and Texas.

Qualifications

• Three years of relevant litigation experience, ideally in labor and employment, construction, or commercial litigation.
• Excellent academic credentials, strong references, and substantial legal writing experience.
• Ability to independently manage matters and client relationships.
• Strong legal research, writing, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
• Record of achievement, sound judgment, and ability to thrive in a demanding litigation practice.
• Collaborative approach and interest in developing client and referral relationships.

Responsibilities

• Handling litigation matters involving employment disputes, construction issues, and commercial conflicts.
• Managing assigned matters and maintaining direct communication with clients.
• Researching complex legal issues and preparing pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Supporting discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation as matters require.
• Working closely with partners and colleagues to develop practical litigation strategies.
• Helping clients evaluate disputes, manage risk, and pursue effective resolutions.
• Building client and referral relationships that support your long-term practice development.
