Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in defense of civil litigation.
• Broad experience in Insurance Defense is a plus, as is experience in insurance coverage work and construction litigation.
• Must be licensed to practice in Missouri and Kansas state and federal courts.
• Additional state admissions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft, prepare and handle pleadings, motions, orders and legal memoranda.
• Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions.
• Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency.
• Prepare and take depositions of parties and experts.
• Review client documents, draft case evaluations and status report correspondence.
• Assist with and participate in mediations and court appearances.
