Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Litigation Associate in San Francisco to join a respected practice. You will take ownership of cases, interact with clients, handle investigations, depositions, court appearances, motions, and trial work on sophisticated disputes.

The ideal candidate has a Juris Doctor, is admitted to the California Bar, and has 4–10 years of litigation experience with strong research, writing, advocacy, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree required.
• Active California Bar membership or eligibility.
• 4–10 years of litigation experience with exposure to discovery, depositions, motions, and trial work.
• Strong academic credentials with ability to analyze complex issues.
• Excellent legal research, writing, advocacy, and communication skills.
• Experience in labor and employment, public sector, appellate work, or related areas preferred.
• Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating with a team.
• Strong client service skills and direct client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of litigation from initial case assessment through resolution.
• Conduct witness interviews, factual investigations, and case strategy development.
• Draft and respond to written discovery, including document requests and interrogatories.
• Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
• Research and draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other filings.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, administrative hearings, and mediations.
• Participate in trial preparation and evidence presentation.
• Advise clients on litigation strategy and maintain regular client communication.
• Handle matters involving labor, public sector, constitutional, and related issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues on appellate matters and significant litigation projects.
