Ferraro Law Firm in the Brickell district of Miami seeks an Associate to join our Litigation team. A JD from an accredited school and 3+ years of complex litigation experience are required, with active Florida Bar status.

You will conduct legal research, draft pleadings, manage discovery and coordinate with clients and experts, while supporting trial preparation and negotiations. In-office role with competitive salary and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Active Florida Bar in good standing.
• 3+ years in complex litigation at federal/state level.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate potential new cases for technical and legal issues.
• Research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memos for case use.
• Maintain knowledge of facts and procedures for assigned cases.
• Communicate case status and updates with clients.
• Manage discovery: gathering, review, production, and coordination.
• Conduct all phases of civil discovery and depositions.
• Identify and work with experts and prepare witnesses.
• Assist with trial prep, including exhibits and motions.
• Collaborate on case strategies with other attorneys.
• Participate in negotiations and mediation when needed.
• Maintain organized case files, including correspondence.
