A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate with 2 to 4 years of experience for its Fort Lauderdale, FL office.

Duties
- Manage and support all phases of complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts.
- Draft and argue substantive motions, including dispositive motions.
- Conduct and defend depositions, including expert witnesses.
- Lead and manage written discovery and e-discovery processes.
- Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Work closely with clients to develop case strategy and provide practical business-oriented advice.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of litigation experience at a law firm or clerkship + firm combination.
- Experience in complex commercial, corporate, financial institution, real estate, land use, construction, and securities matters, including class action defense is a plus.
- Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience practicing in federal and state court.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and take ownership of cases.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Admission to the Florida Bar (or eligibility for prompt admission).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Client-service mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
- Sound judgment and strategic thinking.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
