Job summary

Protouch Staffing is seeking an Associate Attorney for a Houston-based law firm to join its litigation team. The attorney will handle complex civil litigation and arbitration matters across financial services, oil and gas, real estate, and healthcare sectors.

The ideal candidate has a JD from an accredited law school, active Texas Bar admission or eligibility, and 3–5 years of litigation experience with strong research, writing, and advocacy skills. Spanish skills are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar admission or eligibility for timely admission.
• 3-5 years of litigation experience.
• Strong litigation and/or arbitration experience.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and client communications.
• Strong analytical skills and professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex civil litigation and arbitration matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Advise clients regarding legal rights, obligations, and litigation strategies.
• Participate in negotiations, depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and other proceedings.
• Handle matters involving trade secrets, non-compete agreements, unfair competition, business defamation, and tortious interference.
• Communicate effectively with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Manage multiple matters while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work.

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
