Job summary

Abramson Labor Group in Burbank, CA seeks an experienced Litigation Associate to join its employment litigation team. The role requires meaningful courtroom and deposition experience, the ability to manage a substantive caseload, and a collaborative team player mindset for growth across complex matters.

This is a hybrid position with strong teamwork expectations. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of employment litigation experience, CA Bar admission, and proven motion practice.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California State Bar member in good standing.
• Licensed to practice law in California.
• 2–5 years of employment litigation experience (plaintiff, defense, or government).
• Proven record of court appearances, depositions, and motion practice.
• Ability to independently manage cases and exercise sound litigation judgment.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Collaborative team player with professionalism and collegiality.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a robust docket of employment litigation matters from pre-litigation through trial or resolution.
• Take and defend depositions with minimal supervision, including expert witnesses and corporate representatives.
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
• Draft and argue dispositive and discovery motions, including motions for summary judgment.
• Develop and execute case strategy in coordination with supervising attorneys and clients.
• Conduct legal research and produce clear, persuasive written work products.
• Mentor junior associates and collaborate with paralegals and staff.
• Maintain direct client relationships, providing strategic counsel and updates.
• Monitor and manage deadlines across a high-volume docket with precision.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Litigation Associate to join our employment litigation team. Qualifications

• Highly organized with the ability to manage competing deadlines across a busy docket
• Proficiency with legal research platforms (Westlaw, Lexis) and case management software
