Responsibilities:

• Assess files, establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate to paralegals
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production
• Attend depositions, hearings, and discovery events, providing reports
• Negotiate settlements, seek authority, and prepare for trial
• Communicate regularly with paralegals and legal assistants

Compensation ranges from $85,000 to $150,000 annually, based on experience, plus bonuses and benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and flexible spending.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate required
• Bar license in New York required
• 1-5 years of experience preferred, especially in insurance defense
