The practice covers professional liability, construction, product liability, drugs and medical devices, life sciences, toxic torts, and related civil matters, with a hybrid work arrangement and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active admission to the Rhode Island Bar.
• 1 to 3 years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience in RI state and federal courts.
• Experience with discovery and depositions.
• Experience drafting dispositive motions.
• Experience in professional liability, construction, product liability, drugs and medical devices, life sciences, toxic torts, or related civil litigation.
• Base salary of $105,000–$130,000, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and memoranda.
• Take and defend fact and expert depositions.
• Prepare for hearings, mediations, and trials.

Masis Professional Group is recruiting a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney for an established regional law firm in Providence, Rhode Island. This opportunity is geared toward an attorney with 1 to 3 years of civil litigation experience who is ready to take meaningful ownership of cases while continuing to develop alongside experienced litigators.

The practice includes professional liability, construction litigation, product liability, drugs and medical devices, life sciences, toxic torts, and related civil litigation matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters and help move cases from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and legal memoranda.
• Take and defend fact and expert witness depositions.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Conduct legal research and contribute to case strategy.
• Communicate directly with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and members of the litigation team.
• Manage case deadlines and provide timely status updates.

Required Qualifications
