Location:
Minneapolis, MN. This is a fully on-site position designed for attorneys who value close collaboration with their team and direct involvement in active matters. Periodic travel to clients and courts throughout Minnesota is required.

Candidates must be actively licensed to practice in Minnesota and have meaningful litigation experience. To be successful in this role, you should be comfortable taking depositions, drafting and arguing motions in state and federal court, and independently managing a litigation file.

Job Description
- Manage litigation files and take ownership of matters from initial strategy through resolution.
- Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
- Research, draft, and argue substantive motions in Minnesota state and federal courts.
- Draft pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
- Develop case strategy and manage discovery, deadlines, client communications, and case preparation.
- Prepare for and participate in hearings, motions, mediations, appellate matters, and trials.
- Work directly with clients and provide clear, practical advice throughout the litigation process.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff while independently driving assigned matters forward.
- Travel periodically to courts, client locations, depositions, and other proceedings throughout Minnesota.
Qualifications
- Active Minnesota bar license required.
- 1+ year of meaningful litigation experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to take depositions.
- Experience drafting and arguing motions.
- Experience practicing in state and/or federal court.
- Ability to independently manage a litigation file and associated deadlines.
- Excellent legal writing, research, communication, and analytical skills.
- Strong professional judgment, organization, and attention to detail.
- More senior attorneys are encouraged to apply.
- Attorneys coming from in-house or solo practice environments may be considered when their litigation experience strongly aligns with the role.
- Defense litigation, government or public entity matters, employment litigation, land use litigation, appellate work, or judicial clerkship experience is preferred.
