A leading debt collection law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to gain courtroom experience. This role includes reviewing claims, managing litigation queues, and making court appearances three times a week. Candidates must have a Juris Doctorate and admission to the Missouri Bar. Skills in Microsoft Office and effective communication with diverse groups are essential. Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and admission to the Missouri Bar required.
• Additional licenses in other states where the firm operates are valuable.

Responsibilities

• Appear in court on behalf of the firm a minimum of three days per week.
• Review new claims for compliance with firm and client standards.
• Review and approve pleadings filed with the courts.
• Occasionally draft motions and responses for contested matters.
• Argue contested motions and conduct trials and arbitrations.
• Manage telephonic and written communication with opposing counsel.
• Prepare and respond to discovery or oversee counterclaims.

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work effectively with a diverse group

Demonstrated tact, discretion, and courtesy

Ability to work independently

Education

Juris Doctorate

Admission to the Missouri Bar
