This role includes reviewing claims, managing litigation queues, and making court appearances three times a week. Candidates must have a Juris Doctorate and admission to the Missouri Bar. Qualifications
Juris Doctorate and admission to the Missouri Bar required.
Additional licenses in other states where the firm operates are valuable.
Responsibilities
Appear in court on behalf of the firm a minimum of three days per week.
Review new claims for compliance with firm and client standards.
Review and approve pleadings filed with the courts.
Occasionally draft motions and responses for contested matters.
Argue contested motions and conduct trials and arbitrations.
Manage telephonic and written communication with opposing counsel.
Prepare and respond to discovery or oversee counterclaims.
Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with a diverse group
Demonstrated tact, discretion, and courtesy
Ability to work independently
Education
Juris Doctorate
