Position Overview

The Litigation Associate will work on complex civil defense matters involving significant legal, commercial, and reputational exposure. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, a strategic thinker,

and a motivated litigator eager to take on increasing responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft substantive motions, briefs, pleadings, and other complex legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings.
• Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on case strategy, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Analyze complex factual records and develop persuasive legal arguments.

• Colorado Bar admission or a clear, actionable path to admission is required for candidates relocating from out of state. Bar admission fees will be covered for eligible hires.

Work Environment & Expectations:

• Work arrangement: Hybrid, three days in-office per week; Wednesday is required, with flexibility on the other two days.
• Billable expectation: 1,850 hours annually.
• Travel: Matter-dependent travel for depositions, hearings, and other litigation activities, potentially including overnight and nationwide travel. Travel may account for up to approximately 40% of the role.
• Interview process: Initial Zoom interview followed by an onsite interview.
• Application materials: A writing sample is required before an initial interview can be scheduled. Academic transcripts may also be requested during the process.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $250,000 – $360,000 Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
