Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established litigation firm in Tampa to hire a Mid-Level Insurance Defense Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of insurance defense litigation experience and be comfortable handling cases through all phases of litigation.

The role offers growth, direct client contact, and collaboration with experienced trial attorneys in a thriving practice.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the Florida Bar.
• 3–6 years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Experience handling depositions, motion practice, and court appearances.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to independently manage deadlines and multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft and argue substantive motions.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial strategy.
• Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.
• Develop litigation strategy and provide timely case evaluations and reporting.
• Handle matters in both Florida State and Federal Courts.
