Job summary

A dynamic legal firm in Nashville is seeking an Associate with 2-4 years of experience out of law school. Responsibilities include drafting legal documents, conducting research, and preparing for trials in various complex litigation areas. Job description

Our client, a boutique firm in downtown Nashville, is seeking an Associate between 2-4 years out of law school to join their firm on a temp to permanent basis. The firm handles complex litigation in a variety of practice areas, including intellectual property, patent law, healthcare and corporate matters. The firm is dynamic, progressive, and is seeking an attorney to mentor and grow with the firm.

What You Will Do

• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs in state and federal courts
• Research legal issue and prepare memoranda
• Draft documents, including interrogatories and responses, requests for production, and requests for admission
• Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses; assist in expert depositions and trial preparation
• Make appearances in court calls, hearings, and mediations
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Start date: ASAP - can accommodate notice for attorneys looking to transition from another role
• Duration: 6-12 months, potential to be hired by the firm
• Rate: $75-80 per hour (approx. $150,000 - $160,000 per year)
