Permanent Placements LLC in Irvine, CA seeks a Property Coverage Litigation Associate (2-5 Years) to manage a broad range of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.

You will draft pleadings, handle depositions, supervise discovery, and collaborate with partners to advance litigation objectives while maintaining strict deadlines.

Competitive compensation from $140,000 to $175,000 plus bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active membership in the California Bar is required.
• 2-5 years of insurance defense litigation experience is expected.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills are essential.
• Excellent organizational and case management abilities are needed.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle personal injury, business disputes, professional negligence, and products liability cases.
• Conduct discovery and manage document production; take and defend depositions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents; assist in case strategy and client communications.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to advance litigation objectives.
• Meet deadlines and manage case responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support a variety of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Personal injury litigation
• Business and commercial disputes
• Professional negligence claims
• Products liability matters
• Conduct written discovery and manage document production
• Take and defend depositions
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents
• Participate in case strategy development and client communications
• Work collaboratively with partners and senior attorneys to advance litigation objectives
• Manage deadlines and case responsibilities in a fast-paced practice

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
• 2-5 years of insurance defense litigation experience
• Experience handling discovery and depositions
• Exposure to one or more of the following areas preferred:
• Products liability
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent organizational and case management abilities
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
