Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate in Fredericksburg, San Antonio, New Braunfels, or Karnes City, Texas. The candidate will handle complex civil litigation matters, represent clients in state and federal courts, and provide legal counsel on various litigation issues. Strong analytical skills and a passion for client advocacy are essential. Experience with probate, fiduciary, or real estate litigation is advantageous but not required.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
• Conduct legal research on complex legal issues, statutes, and case law.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and discuss strategy.

• Assist in trial preparation and provide trial support as needed.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law and in good standing in Texas.
• 2-7+ years of civil law experience, preferably in a law firm or in-house environment.
• Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and client counseling abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
