Job summary

Talently seeks an associate with 5–7 years of experience in complex commercial litigation to join our New Jersey team. You will draft pleadings, take depositions, manage discovery, and argue in state and federal courts, while maintaining strong client relationships.

Work alongside a collaborative litigation group, receive mentorship, and contribute to case strategy and development on a steady flow of sophisticated matters in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience handling complex commercial litigation.
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing.
• Experience in New Jersey state courts.
• Demonstrated deposition and courtroom experience.
• Strong skills in pleadings, motion practice, discovery, and discovery dispute resolution.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage cases and clients independently while collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of complex commercial litigation, from case strategy through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Prepare discovery, manage discovery processes, and address discovery disputes.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Appear before New Jersey state and federal courts and in arbitrations.
