Duties:

Represent clients in complex insurance coverage disputes and general liability defense litigation

Handle all aspects of litigation from inception through trial, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances

Provide strategic legal analysis and develop case strategies in collaboration with clients and internal teams

Draft comprehensive coverage opinions and litigation-related documents

Maintain responsibility for managing multiple active caseloads with minimal supervision

Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations

Coordinate with clients, experts, and co-counsel as necessary throughout the litigation process

Requirements:

Minimum of 7 years of recent, hands-on experience in insurance coverage and defense litigation

Demonstrated experience in both federal and state court proceedings, particularly in New York

Ability to handle matters independently from investigation to verdict or resolution

Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

Proven record of managing multiple complex litigation files simultaneously

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the New York State Bar (mandatory)

Admission to the New Jersey State Bar (preferred)
