Accurate Communication, Inc. is seeking experienced Lithuanian–English interpreters in the Los Angeles area for in-person assignments on an as-needed contractor basis.

You will accept only assignments that fit your schedule. Responsibilities include consecutive interpretation between Lithuanian and English across social service settings, maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct, and traveling within the LA area as required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Lithuanian and English, spoken and written.
• Strong listening and short-term retention skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Where you’ll work

• Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD)
• Medical appointments and healthcare facilities
• Government agencies and social services
• Community and educational settings

What you’ll do

• Interpret for individuals with limited English proficiency across a range of social service settings
• Provide consecutive interpretation between English and Lithuanian
• Listen to complete statements in one language and render them accurately in the other, including the response back
• Adjust between close and meaning‑based interpretation as the setting requires
• Maintain confidentiality, impartiality, and professional conduct at all times

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years of professional interpreting experience
• Full fluency in Lithuanian and English, spoken and written
• Strong listening and short‑term retention skills
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to assignments across the LA area
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have

• Interpreter certification or formal training
• Prior experience in medical, educational, or legal settings
