Job summary

Sawtooth Mining, LLC seeks a Mining Engineer for the Thacker Pass Project in Orovada, NV, to plan and track short-range production during construction and into production. You will work with operations, engineering staff, and on-site contractors to ensure milestones and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include grade control planning, equipment scheduling, site surveys, and support for environmental and regulatory projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience as a mining engineer in surface mining.

Responsibilities

• Plan ore grade control and scheduling to meet quality requirements.
• Develop short-range production plans with operations to maintain schedules.
• Assist in equipment scheduling to maximize efficiency.
• Plan site surveys to validate material movement and construction plans.
• Support engineering studies such as operating budgets and optimization.
• Assist environmental projects including surface and groundwater management.
