Job summary

Grand Canyon University (GCU) seeks a CSLP student worker to support literacy initiatives at Ocotillo Elementary in Phoenix. The role involves tutoring small groups, delivering engaging lessons, and fostering a positive learning environment aligned with GCU’s community service mission.

The position is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week during the academic year, with possible summer hours. A FAFSA review is required for eligibility and employment is contingent on background checks.

Responsibilities

• Work with small student groups to increase literacy skills and reading proficiency.
• Teach engaging and supportive lessons to meet each student’s needs.
• Model and reinforce peer support, good decision-making, and conflict resolution.
• Prepare materials to support lesson execution.
• Other duties as required.
