Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in literacy or a closely related field
• Three or more years of Pre‑K-12 teaching experience
• Completion or willingness to complete post‑doctoral training as Reading Recovery/Descubriendo la Lectura University Trainer
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish
• Experience with university teaching
• Publication record for entry into position
• Demonstrated leadership and collaborative ability

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in literacy education in face‑to‑face and blended/hybrid online environments
• Supervise graduate student research
• Maintain an active research agenda
• Provide service to department, college, university, community, and profession
• Complete study to become RR/DLL trainer
• Contribute to the RR/DLL training center at TWU
