Job summary

Lewiston Public Schools seeks a Literacy Teacher Coach to support middle and high school literacy across Lewiston Middle School and Lewiston High School. The role focuses on coaching teachers, aligning instruction with district standards, and improving student literacy outcomes.

The successful candidate will use current research, develop materials, and monitor progress to help students meet target assessments. Strong collaboration with staff and administrators is essential.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required; exemplary teaching experience.
• Valid Teaching Certificate and endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and coaching to teachers implementing instructional strategies.
• Develop methods to measure effectiveness of literacy instruction and student progress.
• Assist in selecting courses of study that support professional improvement.
• Collaborate with district and school teams to align with curriculum frameworks and assessments.
• Manage data related to direct service and ELL students; support graduation plans for ELL students.
