Job summary

Co-op Academy Belle Vue is seeking a Literacy Coach to lead literacy development across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work with the English department and library to deliver an inclusive program that supports academic and personal growth.

You will contribute to a positive learning climate, focus on safeguarding, and drive high standards of behaviour and attainment for pupils in a growing secondary academy.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training will be provided).

Responsibilities

  • Play a pivotal role in developing students' literacy and language skills.
  • Work closely with the English department and the library to deliver a well-rounded, inclusive environment.

We are now seeking an exceptional Literacy Coach to join our team and take strategic oversight of the department.

As a Literacy Coach you will play a pivotal role in developing the academic, social and emotional development of our students. You will be responsible for creating a positive and nurturing environment that encourages students to strive for excellence and achieve their full potential. Working closely with the English department and the library you will continue to deliver a well rounded, inclusive environment that our students thrive in both academically and socially.

Qualifications
  • 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalentessential
Skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a teamessential
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training will be provided).essential
Experience
  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting is beneficial but not required
