Job summary

Lupine Lane is seeking a Literacy and Math Coach to implement literacy and mathematics materials across classrooms and to support or substitute as directed by the school administration.

You will develop and conduct individual and small group lessons, ensure materials are developmentally appropriate, and deliver engaging instruction while fostering a positive learning environment. This role offers growth opportunities and collaborative teamwork within the coaching team.

Responsibilities

• Implement Lupine Lane’s literacy and mathematics materials in multiple classrooms.
• Support or substitute in classrooms as directed by the administration team.
• Develop and conduct individual and small group skill-based lessons in outlined classrooms.
• Create literacy and mathematics lessons that embody LL’s philosophy and curriculum.
• Post Monthly Intentions completed by the 1st of each month.
• Ensure classroom materials, supplies and teaching are developmentally appropriate.
• Challenge children with stimulating interactions and materials.
• Deliver information in an accessible and engaging manner.
• Use technology in an intentional and pedagogical context.
• Create and maintain a welcoming and engaging environment while teaching.
• Arrange space to allow for proper supervision and engagement.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness.
• Be resourceful and respectful with school materials and supplies.
• Maintain common area organization.
• Show motivation and support to other team members.
• Exhibit a high energy level, enthusiasm and cooperative spirit.
• Attend and contribute during meetings, trainings and events.

Literacy and Math Coach and Support Responsibilities

The Literacy and Math Coach’s primary responsibilities are to implement Lupine Lane’s literacy and mathematics materials and supplies in multiple classrooms and support, or substitute, in specific classrooms, as the school administration team directs. Literacy and Math coaches spend time developing and conducting individual and small group skill-based lessons in outlined classrooms.

Philosophy and Curriculum

• Develop literacy and mathematics lessons that embody LL’s philosophy and curriculum.
• Complete, post and email Monthly Intentions completed by the 1st of each month.
• Ensure classroom materials, supplies and teaching are developmentally appropriate.
• Challenge children with stimulating interactions and materials.
