• Works side by side with the Teacher to function as an appropriate role model for children; providing proper examples, emotional support, a friendly attitude and general guidance.


• Creates and manages a caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating environment that is conducive to children’s learning.


• Agrees with and commits to the academic goals and philosophy of the company, and understands, abides by, and implements the policies, directives and guidelines set forth by the management company.


• Assists in classroom management.


• Assists teacher in preparing instructional materials.


• Implements, under the supervision of assigned teacher, instructional programs and lesson plans for the purpose of assisting the teacher in improving students’ academic success through a defined course of study.


• Conducts instructional activities assigned by the teacher.


• Works with individual students or small groups for the purpose of practicing and/or reinforcing learning concepts and assisting students in reaching their academic goals and grade-level standards.


• Uses computers and other technology provided by the company to assist and support students in their learning.


• Develops classroom experiences that teach students not only facts but how to apply what they learn to solve real world problems.


• Ensures high standards of achievement for all students.


• Ensures an orderly, motivational, and aspirational culture and a strong school community where teaching, learning and healthy relationships can thrive.


• Maintains good order and discipline among the pupils, safeguarding their health and safety.

• Education Preferred:

• Associate degree


• Experience preferred:


• 1–2 years’ experience working with students preferred


• Certification/licensure in appropriate teaching area


• Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) status in teaching assignment
