Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records platforms.

• Design technology solutions prioritizing sustainability and scalability for future growth
• Present business partners with solution options, identifying drivers for outcomes (people, processes, technology, or data)
• Identify and challenge outdated processes and rules that affect user experiences
• Work across business functions to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Stay current with emerging technologies within and beyond the laboratory ecosystem

Job description

This is a contract position for a LIS IT Solution Analyst based in San Diego, California, with a duration of six months or more. You will serve as a functional and technical subject matter expert, bridging business needs and technology solutions within a CLIA-regulated clinical diagnostics laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into functional and technical designs, requirements, unit tests, and other deliverables using tools such as flow diagrams and testing automation, communicating clearly across technical and non-technical audiences
• Provide business process guidance, technology solutions, and ongoing operational support in a CLIA-regulated clinical diagnostics laboratory
• Serve as a functional and technical subject matter expert (SME) across Laboratory applications
• Design technology solutions that leverage native application features, prioritizing sustainability and scalability for future growth
• Present business partners with a range of solution options, identifying whether people, processes, technology, or data are the primary drivers for successful outcomes
• Identify and challenge outdated processes, policies, and rules that negatively impact internal and external user experiences
• Work across business functions to deliver comprehensive end-to-end solutions
• Stay current with emerging technologies within and beyond the laboratory ecosystem

Qualifications

• Required
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records platforms
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a science field
• Preferred
  • Experience with LIS and SCC Soft platforms
  • Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment
  • Experience and understanding of the Salesforce platform
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
