Job summary

Watco is hiring for an Operator at the Houston, TX site. Starting pay is $21.50 per hour with 12-hour rotating shifts. The role involves daily inventory, paperwork, and coordinating transfers between barges, railcars, and trucks in a rail/terminal environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, is able to work outdoors in varying weather, and can obtain a TWIC card upon hire. Strong safety awareness and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with High School or GED equivalent.
• TWIC card upon hire or ability to obtain one.
• Must be able to work outside in extreme weather.
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate safety-first on railcars, barges, and related equipment.
• Inspect and seal railcars, connect product lines, and supervise transfers.
• Prepare equipment for product transfer and document daily activities.
• Maintain adherence to WTIS work instructions and regulations.
• Complete all required paperwork and checklist items.
