Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen and able to obtain security clearance.
• Independent, self-motivated with proactive problem solving.
• Understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
• Experience with rocket propulsion and complex system testing desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Join an established team in AFRL/RQR performing research and development on missile, rocket systems, space propulsion, and launch vehicle technologies.
• Oversee and support government project managers on design, fabrication, and testing of flight test articles, test campaigns, reviews, and program planning.
• Develop test plans, schedules, and procedures; visit contractor and test facilities to ensure program goals are met within budget and schedule.
• Focus on applied technology with emphasis on technology transition; span disciplines including missile design and integrated vehicle systems.
